Is Star Wars: Galactic Racer Multiplayer?
Yes — online only. Star Wars: Galactic Racer supports up to 12 players online in speeders and up to 8 players in podracers, with crossplay between PC and consoles (on by default). It has no split-screen / local multiplayer, and online parties are currently limited to 3 players (the developer plans to raise this to 6).

How matchmaking works
The game first fills races that are missing players — in Tours you may join mid-Tour in Spectator Mode and get resources so you aren't disadvantaged. If no race is open, a new one is created once you and another unique player are searching; a party of 2 therefore needs a third, non-party player before a race starts. Empty slots are filled with AI racers. Same-region players are preferred, otherwise cross-region.
Podracing
Podracers are one of four vehicle types (landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, podracers). Podracers are not customizable.
