Astrae Oratio has no exact release date yet: NC (NCSOFT) says it will launch on mobile (iOS and Android) in 2027, with a PC version after that. NC announced the plan in an official press release on September 18, 2026: mobile in 2027, then PC. The first playable demo was shown at Tokyo Game Show 2026.
Global closed beta (October 2–6, 2026)
- Who could play: only testers selected from the sign-ups, which closed on September 20. Testers were notified on September 23.
- Platform: mobile only (iOS and Android).
- Languages: Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and English.
- Content: three main story chapters (Tokyo, Minato and Shinjuku), two side stories and 18 playable characters, plus raids, battle quests on Normal, Hard, Very Hard and Challenge, a Score Trial boss, the Simulation Room dungeon, Free Time bonding scenes, costumes and voice lines (NC's Korean release).
The beta has ended, and no new test has been announced yet.
What kind of game is Astrae Oratio?
NC describes it as an anime RPG set in a world where magic and everyday life coexist. You play the Shunin, a public official at the Special District Office, the agency that oversees the affairs of mages. The story follows Tokyo districts such as Minato and Shinjuku, and NC plans to keep adding stories and characters through live-service updates.
