Enshrouded 1.0 Builds: Templates for the Reworked Skill Tree

By the Gamecodely editorial team · Updated

Enshrouded 1.0 (released October 15, 2026) reworked the skill tree, so every existing character gets its skill points back on first load and must re-spend them. The builds that make the most of 1.0's changes are a wand + staff Battlemage (new Blast and Cast link between wand crits and staff damage), a Summoner (new necromancy skills and skeleton summons), a crit Bow Ranger (Puncture, Barrage), a one-handed Warrior, a Tank, a Healer and a Dagger Assassin (dagger skills moved from the Warrior side to the Assassin side). Below are build templates (attribute focus + key skills) taken from the official 1.0 changes. They are starting points, not a damage ranking.

What changed for builds in Enshrouded 1.0

Keen Games' 1.0 changelog (October 14, 2026) lists the changes that matter most for builds:

Change What it means for your build
Skill tree reworked, points refunded Old saves load with all skill points unspent. Plan your build before you click.
Level cap 50, gear upgrades up to 55 More points to spend and room to push one weapon line further.
9 new spell types; eternal spells and arrows can be upgraded Magic and bow builds no longer depend on crafting stacks of ammo.
Wand heavy attack, aerial and evasion wand attacks Wands become a full main weapon, not just a sidearm.
Summoning / necromancy (Necromancy gems, Advanced Necromancy, Totem Mastery) A real pet build is now possible.
Dagger skills moved from Warrior to the Assassin area Dagger builds now sit next to stealth and crit skills.
New skills: Airborne Architect, Blast and Cast, Puncture, Barrage, Survival Instinct (and more) See the templates below.
Repositioned skills: Veteran, One-Handed Specialization, Inner Fires, Snap Paths to these nodes changed, so old build guides are out of date.

Battlemage: how Blast and Cast works

Blast and Cast is one of the new 1.0 skills. Several independent 1.0 build guides describe it the same way: a critical hit with a wand buffs your next staff attack (about +50% base damage) for a short window (about 10 seconds). Keen Games' changelog names the skill but does not list its numbers, so check the in-game tooltip.

Free-flying builders: Airborne Architect

Airborne Architect sits in the centre of the tree and is aimed at building, not combat. Take it early if you spend most of your time on bases.

How to respec in Enshrouded 1.0

  1. Old characters: your points are already refunded. Open the skill screen and spend them.
  2. Later respecs: use the skill-reset option at your Flame Altar.
  3. Plan your route first. Many 1.0 nodes moved, so a pre-1.0 build guide can lead you to the wrong branch.

Solo vs co-op

  • Solo: Battlemage, Summoner and Crit Ranger handle most fights alone. Summons give you a second target for enemies.
  • Co-op (up to 16 players on a server): pair one Tank and one Healer with damage builds.

What this page doesn't do

  • We don't publish "best build" damage rankings. Numbers change with gear and patches.
  • We don't cover cheats, trainers or save editors.
