Freddy Fazbear in Fortnite — Location, Boss Fights, Skins & End Date (Fortnitemares 2026)
During Fortnitemares 2026 (until November 1), Freddy Fazbear is on the stage inside Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. It's an unlabelled landmark in the north-middle of the Battle Royale map, just south of the lake with the yellow PAC-MAN island, between Lifty Lodge (west), Freaky Fields (east) and Nightmare Neighborhood (south). Bring him down and you can possess him. If your health runs out while you're inside, you get a few seconds of invulnerability before the shell breaks. His Item Shop skin costs 1,500 V-Bucks (with the Freddy-oke Machine back bling), and the full Five Nights at Freddy's Bundle costs 4,500 V-Bucks. Don't mix him up with Freddy Krueger, a separate Fortnitemares boss at Nightmare Neighborhood.
Where to find Freddy Fazbear in Fortnite
The Five Nights at Freddy's animatronics are part of Fortnitemares 2026 (update v42.30). Epic says they "lurk around the island" in Battle Royale until November 1.
| Animatronic | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Freddy Fazbear | On the stage inside Freddy Fazbear's Pizza |
| Foxy | In Pirate's Cove, the curtained side room of the same pizzeria |
| Bonnie and Chica | Guides disagree. Some put them on the stage next to Freddy, others say they roam the island and change spots between matches. Check the stage first |
How to find the pizzeria: it's a landmark, not a named location, so the map shows no label until you've visited it. From the Battle Bus, aim for the bright-yellow PAC-MAN island in the lake in the north-middle of the map, then glide slightly south. The pizzeria sits by the curved road on the lake shore, with a glowing "Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria" sign and a giant Freddy head over the entrance. It replaced the old Arcade landmark, between Lifty Lodge (west), Freaky Fields (east) and Nightmare Neighborhood (south).
Tip: the front door opens straight onto the stage. Land on the roof or come in from the lake side, and consider taking Foxy in Pirate's Cove first.
How possessing an animatronic works
According to Epic's Fortnitemares 2026 notes:
- Bring the animatronic down.
- Possess it. Once it's down you can take control of it and play as that animatronic.
- Watch your health. If your health hits zero while you're possessing it, you get a few seconds where you can't be eliminated before the shell breaks. Use them to escape or heal.
Freddy Fazbear vs Freddy Krueger
Fortnitemares 2026 has two Freddys, and searches mix them up.
| Freddy Fazbear | Freddy Krueger | |
|---|---|---|
| From | Five Nights at Freddy's | A Nightmare on Elm Street |
| In Battle Royale | Possessable animatronic at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza | Boss at Nightmare Neighborhood |
| What you get | Control of the animatronic | His Mythic glove, Freddy's Nightmare |
Freddy Fazbear skin price (Item Shop)
| Offer | Price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Freddy Fazbear | 1,500 V-Bucks | Freddy Fazbear outfit plus the Freddy-oke Machine back bling |
| Five Nights at Freddy's Bundle | 4,500 V-Bucks (11,000 if bought separately) | Freddy Fazbear, Foxy The Pirate, Chica the Chicken and Bonnie the Rabbit outfits, plus back blings, Freddy Slippers, Mr. Cupcake, Freddy's Mic, Bonnie's Blazin' Guitar, The Fazbear Band, Surveillance Feed Floater and more |
If you want two or more of the animatronics, the bundle is the better deal. Item Shop offers rotate, and Epic doesn't show an end date on these pages, so check the shop before you plan around them.
Is there a Freddy Fazbear code?
There's no code to type in for Freddy in Battle Royale. This season's "cheat codes" are Trick or Treat Cheats. Epic describes them as cheats you input during a match "and maybe you'll get an extra treat alongside your Sprite." Codes you see for FNAF maps are Creative island codes made by players, not Epic.
When does Freddy Fazbear leave Fortnite? (end date)
- Started: October 1, 2026 with update v42.30
- Ends: November 1, 2026 (per Epic)
After Fortnitemares ends, the animatronics are expected to leave Battle Royale with the rest of the Halloween content. We'll update this page when they do.
