Lagos Life Game: How to Play the Lagos Lifestyle Game (Official Link & Rules)
Lagos Life (also searched as the "Lagos lifestyle game") is a free, Sims-style life-simulation game set in Lagos, Nigeria. You play it in a web browser at lagoslife.app, the address named in the game's own Terms and Privacy Policy. lagoslife.eliysites.com is the only other official address. It launched on October 1, 2026. Nigerian developer Shalom Rayhamen created it, and Vatar operates it. You sign up free, start life as a "Nepo" or a "Lapo" baby, get a job, pay rent every Saturday, and socialise with other real players. Players must be 18 or older. In-game Game Naira is not real money and can't be withdrawn or sold.

How to start playing
- Open lagoslife.app in Chrome, Safari or another up-to-date browser, on a phone or a computer. If a link opened inside a social app won't load, copy it into your main browser.
- Tap Sign up free, or Log in if you already have an account.

- Your first life is decided by the game's "birth lottery". You start either as a Nepo baby, born into money and connections, or as a Lapo baby, starting poor on a micro-loan, a nod to Nigeria's LAPO microfinance bank.
- Work, manage your energy and money, and buy food. The in-game day runs in real time, following the actual day.
- Keep enough for rent, due every Saturday to "Baba Landlord", and work your way toward better neighbourhoods.
Put it on your home screen (no app needed)
The official site has its own Add to Home Screen prompt. On iPhone, open lagoslife.app in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, then Add. On Android, open it in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu and choose Add to Home screen or Install app. The icon then opens the same browser game full screen.
Is there a Lagos Life app or APK?
As of October 14, 2026, the official site offers browser play plus Add to Home Screen. We found no app-store download linked from lagoslife.app. Don't install an APK or app that claims to be Lagos Life unless lagoslife.app links to it. Sites with similar names, including ones on .com.ng or .org domains, aren't named in Lagos Life's official policies, so check the address bar before you enter your email or password.
What you do in the game
- Jobs and money: take jobs, earn and spend Game Naira, rent a room and move up to better areas.
- Real Lagos places: spots players recognise, such as Amala Shitta and the Quilox nightclub. Nigerian music plays in the clubs.
- Getting around: haggle over in-game danfo and okada fares.
- Social life: chat with other real players in the shared city. Since launch the developer has added in-game weddings, babies and family links (siblings, cousins, aunties).
- City events: a weekly in-game governor election across the whole shared city.
- More cities: in the first week the developer announced Abuja and Port Harcourt versions.
The Disclaimer says real brands, places and institutions appear in a fictional setting. A brand in the game isn't a sponsor unless it's labelled Official Partner, Sponsor or Advertiser.
Game Naira: what the rules say
- Game Naira is fictional. The Terms say it isn't Nigerian legal tender, eNaira or e-money. It can't be withdrawn to a bank or redeemed for real money, and ₦1,000,000 in the game doesn't mean you're owed a million naira.
- Buying it is optional. You can top up with real money, but purchases are generally final once credited. Refunds are only considered if a payment went through and the Game Naira never arrived.
- Selling is banned. Selling Game Naira or accounts for real money, running exchanges, using bots, scripts or macros, and exploiting bugs are all prohibited and can get an account suspended.
- No guaranteed earnings. The Terms say outright that Lagos Life doesn't guarantee earnings, investment gains or any other outcome. Treat any "make real money from Lagos Life" offer as a scam.
Launch-week hiccups
- October 2: a short outage took the game offline. The developer credited every player with ₦100,000 in Game Naira as an apology.
- First week: an exploit let some players generate huge sums. The developer reset the unfair funds and promised fixes.
- Player counts: reports of 1 million players by October 4 come from the game's own dashboard, not an independent tracker.
Privacy and account deletion
The Privacy Policy says accounts can be soft-deleted on request (contact support), with some transaction and moderation records kept for a limited time. Lagos Life says it doesn't currently use your GPS location for ads, and its ads are mostly placed inside the game world, such as billboards and branded venues.
