If you want the game that's set entirely in Abuja, it's Abuja Life at abjlife.app.

How to start playing

  1. Open abjlife.app and press Play now.
  2. Sign in with Google or with an email and password, and pick an @username.
  3. Create your resident: male or female, hairstyles from braids to gele and hijab, outfits from agbada to a corper uniform in Ankara, Adire or Aso-oke. Choose where you're from, your personality and your dream.
  4. You arrive at the City Gate. Find work, a place to live and food before your money runs out.

On a phone, you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. Older phones get lighter graphics automatically. A good data or Wi-Fi connection helps because the city is shared live.

What you can do in Abuja Life

  • Work: take 2-minute shifts at businesses owned by other players, or join the FCT Civil Service.
  • Run a business: buy one of the real Abuja spots or start your own on a Central Business District plot. You set prices, hire players and pay tax on every sale.
  • Find a home: rent in Nyanya, Lugbe, Kuje, Kubwa, Gwarinpa or Maitama, then build it up and furnish it. Each district has a real estate firm a player can own.
  • Get around: green-and-white taxis, keke napep, the bus, or your own car. Fares follow the real roads.
  • Eat and party: suya, shawarma, IbroFish and more refill your hunger meter. Dance at Club Zuma. Get sick or knocked down and you end up in hospital.
  • Politics (in-game only): every week players run for Senator of their district or FCT Minister, and residents vote. The Minister sets the tax, which fills the treasury. Officials caught embezzling are audited and jailed by the in-game EFCC. These are game roles played by players, not real offices.
  • Police: stop-and-search happens on the streets. Be rude, run or fight and you'll spend a few minutes in a cell or pay bail.

Real Abuja places in the game

The city is built from the real map of Abuja, with landmarks modelled from photos. Day and night follow Abuja time. You can visit the City Gate, National Mosque, National Christian Centre, Eagle Square, Millennium Park, Ceddi Plaza, Yar'Adua Centre, Silverbird Cinemas, Magic Land, Area 10 Market (Garki), Transcorp Hilton, Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, the University of Abuja, Nile University, Aso Rock and Zuma Rock, among others.

Is Abuja Life real money? Watch out for scams

  • In-game money, items and homes have no real-world value. They can't be exchanged for real money or moved out of the game (Terms of Service).
  • There's no Abuja Life cryptocurrency or token, and the developer says it will never ask you to buy one. Anyone selling one in its name is a scammer.
  • Cheating, exploiting bugs and bots are against the rules and can get your account removed.

Contact and privacy

The official support address is support@abjlife.app, and you can send ideas and bug reports from the Suggestions board inside the game. The Privacy Policy (updated October 12, 2026) says game data is stored with Google Firebase in London, the site uses Google Analytics, and your email is never shown to other players.
