MW4 Following Orders Code (214): Red Toolbox, All Notes and Contraband
The Following Orders lockbox code in Modern Warfare 4 is 214. The red toolbox (some guides call it the red safe) is in the first house of campaign mission 3: take the first room on the right, through the sliding doors by the front entrance, and open the cabinet. The clue is the Baekseolgi-tteok Recipe note in the kitchen's left cupboard. It lists 2 kg rice flour, 5 ml salt, 1 L water and 4 packs of golden raisins, then says "Flour, then water, then raisins – skip the salt". Drop the salt and you get 2-1-4. The toolbox holds heart medicine (contraband) and Note From Your Friend. You can also shoot the padlock off.

The recipe ends with "Flour, then water, then raisins – skip the salt." Read the quantities in that order and leave the salt out:

The key and the floor hatch (third house)
- Read Note From Your Neighbor in the bedroom. It hints that food is hidden under the kitchen floor.
- Go through the sliding doors past the bedrooms, take the first door on the right and grab the key from the cabinet by the window.
- Use the key on the hatch in the kitchen, where the kettle is steaming. A woman is hiding inside.
- Get her out. Telling her the defector was found and it's safe to come out works. If you leave her hidden, you lose the last note.
- Drop into the crawlspace and read Note From Mom on the shelf. Your counter should now show 4 of 4 notes.
No Harm Done: question the couple without force
No Harm Done asks you to find the defector without harming a civilian. Don't grab, strike, shoot or threaten anyone in the first house.
- Collect all four contraband items before you talk to the husband. They unlock the peaceful questions.
- In the kitchen, tell the wife "Please join your husband", then "I will not ask again."
- Ask the husband about the South Korean medicine (you can also ask about the rations, MP3 player and novel).
- When new options appear, choose "Give up the defector. Now." He tells you where the defector is, and the achievement unlocks.
You can earn No Stone Unturned and No Harm Done in the same run. Finishing the mission also gives a Double XP Token.
